Our super power at Edwards Church is caring. We believe Jesus' words, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength...You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Therefore we care about what our faith calls us to do for each other, the people around us and creation.

Edwards Church was initially called First Congregational and was founded in Davenport in 1839. The congregation has held on, moved and grown in new ways, responding to the needs of the community for more than 180 years. Once again we are in a new season. Edwards Church is on a faith journey, following God's leading. Let's journey together.

What's the bottom line? More than ever, Edwards Church is committed to fostering a family built through caring. We believe people are looking for a community where they can engage in faithful conversations, share hard times, disagree in love and live day to day with integrity. We believe this ability to do hard things in faithful ways is led by our example in Jesus. And as we move forward as a church family, inclusion and belonging remain at the center of who we are as followers of Christ.
