Caregiving at Edwards is carried out by a dedicated group of volunteers to ensure church members and friends who may be experiencing life transition difficulties feel God’s love through friendship, personal support, and connection to the strong faith community that is Edwards Church.

What do Caregivers do?

  • Visit the homebound and those in care facilities
  • Telephone calls to those who are alone, who feel bereaved, or recovering from illness
  • Cards and letters of encouragement
  • Prepare and take food to those returning home
  • The support of a listening ear to members in the hospital
  • Assisting the pastor with distributing home-communion to those who are homebound
  • Help coordinate and assist luncheons following a funeral at Edwards Church

How can I get help from Caregivers?
That's easy! Just let the pastor or any of the church staff know how we can help. We will be in touch with you presently.

What about confidentiality?
Please be assured that conversations you have with caregivers will be kept confidential unless you give permission to share information with others.

Can any member volunteer to be a Caregiver?
Yes!  As our church grows in membership more Caregivers are needed and you are always welcome to help.  Just contact the church care giver coordinator or one of the church staff.
